SAWW Certified Trainers are recognized as experts in their field.  Certification provides trainers with the knowledge base and skill set needed to promote safe and efficient chainsaw operation among the professional and recreational chainsaw users they train.  Certification also provides trainers with a network of colleagues to learn from and share with.  To become a SAWW Certified Trainer applicants must:

• Have extensive chainsaw operation experience
• Complete SAWW Training Program Levels One, Two, Three, and Four (or their equivalent)
• Participate in a day long one-on-one training session with a SAWW Certified Trainer
• Attend SAWW Training Programs being delivered by a SAWW Certified Trainer (at least 2 days)
• Be approved by the SAWW Training Certifying Board
• Complete an annual refresher training
• Participate in an annual review
